FDG Data Services was created to serve as an outsourcing agent to non-profit organizations, to provide a package of services for the regular upkeep of the donor records and handling of the gift acknowledgement process through the integration of three powerful web-based tools:

• An online donor database (constituent record management system –CRM)
• An online giving application
• Digital online storage of donor documents

This becomes a cost-effective means for organizations which are short-staffed, do not have the in-house expertise of donor data management or simply don’t want the administrative burden of managing donor data. Fund development success stems from relationships which are nurtured between a donor (individual or business) and the organization, to create opportunities for their contributions and gifts to be used in creative ways that are personally fulfilling to the donor and directly applicable to the mission of the organization. Too often managing the database gets in the way of cultivating these relationships.
